Windpipes of Hades

Why not bury the dead
in the burial of braves that are dead?
Are we not but living dead that are
buried in this planet of the dead?
But why disturb those resting
in the ground of dead heroes?
Would a burying ground change
how a man had lived his course?

Would it be enough to blow
the windpipes of Hades and
sing the protest song of passing?
To sympathize with the corpses lying
unattended in the street of torments?
Are those killed are dead because peace,
which has long gone dead has to live?
For whatever reason, killing outside
the bound of law, although productive,
is lawless, risky and since illegally achieved
kills both the killers and the killed,
while the soul of the land
silently grieves.

"Truth without love has no decency;
it's just brutality. Love without truth
has no character; it's just hypocrisy."
Clearly, love cannot survive without truth,
and truth is incomplete without love.
And what is justice without love, without truth?
Would it be as cruel as those that kill
and rejoice in the name of so-called peace?
Will it be as shameless as those,
who in the garb of saints play blind
to let brutality go unchecked?

 .
The wise are weak,
The strong are dumb,
Noise effects fools,
Fanatics are blind;
Mere words or force
will win no war,

Prayers, invoking
the God of Truth will.
